On 1 October 2011, I posted an entry titled, Subversives and Hostile Propaganda. The entry contained links to a series of videos for two seperate videos. The videos detailed the KGB efforts behind directing the Cuban Intelligence/ Active Measures programs.
For anybody who would like add to that knowledge set, the Institute of World Politics posted a status update on their Facebook on 7 February 2012. This update was a congratualtions to an IWP alum Mallorie Marino for a job well done for her published paper on Cuban Active Measures by the Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy. A link to her work of her good work was also attached for public consumption.
The analysis factors out the leaders of the Cuban propaganda machine, the methodological process of ideological penetration into the U.S. (broken down to six well defined stages), the resources of the Cuban active measures, and the different uses of Cuban public diplomacy efforts.
Below is the status update (copy and pasted w/active links):
The Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy has published a paper by IWP alum Mallorie Marino: “The Cuban Apparatus for Active Measures: Propaganda and Disinformation against the United States.”
